Delivery
What arrives, when it arrives, and what it costs — stated before you pay, not after.
Digital story
Your story is delivered usually twenty to forty minutes — we email you the moment it is ready, with a link to download the PDF. You receive an email with a secure download link, and the same link is in the order receipt we email you when you pay. There is no delivery charge on a digital product.
The link is personal to your order. Please do not forward it — anyone with the link can download your child’s book.
Printed hardcover
Your book is posted as soon as it is printed — we aim for 7–12 working days, plus courier transit time. The count starts the day your payment reaches us, because nothing is printed before it. We confirm the date by email when the book goes to print.
That window is a target we set ourselves rather than a period agreed with you, so it does not replace the statutory one: under section 46(1) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act your order is executed within 30 days of the day we receive it, and that outer limit continues to apply to every printed order. Our own target sits well inside it. We would rather publish the date we are actually working to as well as the one the law requires, than quote you only the longer of the two.
Delivery to a South African main centre is included in the price.
Outlying and regional areas
Couriers charge more to reach outlying and regional addresses, and we pass that on at cost rather than hiding it in the headline price. Where it applies, the surcharge is R199.
You will always see it before you pay. You tell us whether your address is outlying, and we show the surcharge as its own line before you pay. We never add a delivery charge after an order is placed.
South Africa only
We currently deliver printed books within South Africa only. Digital stories can be downloaded anywhere in the world.
If it does not arrive
Tell us. We will trace it with the courier, and if it is lost we will reprint and resend at our cost. You are not asked to wait out an indefinite period or to chase the courier yourself.
